The managing director supervises the proper use of the data processing programs, which are used to process personal data.

II. General information on data processing

1. Scope of processing of personal data

Our processing of personal data of our users is limited to the following data necessary for the provision of a functioning website as well as our contents and services. Services are required. The processing of personal data of our users is only carried out for the purposes agreed with them or if any other legal or regulatory action has been taken (in the sense of the DSGVO). Only such personal data will be processed which is actually necessary for the performance and handling of our tasks and services or which you have voluntarily made available to us.

2. Your rights (rights of data subjects)

You have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of the processing, the categories of the personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to demand correction, deletion, limitation of processing or objection, data transmission, the origin of your data, if not collected by us, as well as the existence of an automated decision making including profiling. You also have the right to revoke any consent you may have given to the use of your personal data at any time. If you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data is not permitted by law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If our privacy policy is contrary to the applicable data protection regulations, you have the option of complaining to the data protection office.

III. Description and scope of data processing

1a. Provision of the website

Each time you access our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer. The following data is collected:

  • Information about the browser type and version used
  • Used operating system
  • Reference URL (the previously visited web page)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Transferred data volume
  • Notification of successful retrieval

We store this information for a maximum period of 6 months. This information is stored for data security reasons in order to guarantee the stability and operational reliability of our system.

1b. Visitor and usage data

"Google Analytics", a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94.043 USA, is used on our website to evaluate website usage.Google Analytics uses cookies (see point 2.) which are stored on your computer. The information contained therein about the website and internet use of the visitor can be processed and evaluated by Google. The data collected by Google may be transmitted by Google to countries outside the EU and the EEA, in particular the USA. However, Google has submitted to the Privacy Shield Framework. In addition, we make sure that your IP address is anonymized before the transmission to Google.The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

2. Cookies

We use cookies on our website in order to make our offer more user-friendly. Cookies are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. The cookies remain stored until you delete them. This enables us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our site. If you do not wish this to happen, you can set your browser so that it informs you when cookies are set and you allow them in individual cases. However, we would like to point out that deactivating cookies means that you will not be able to use all the functions of our website without restriction.

3. Contact form

If you fill out a contact form or send us an e-mail or other electronic message, your details will only be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry, possible further related questions, and will only be used within the scope of the enquiry.

The legal basis for processing your request is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

We will delete your e-mail address after your request has been processed.

4. Use of the fivetolife platform to send Christmas greetings

By registering with fivetolife.org, the participant agrees to the following rules for the use of his/her information:

Fivetolife processes personal information of the participants.

In order to send Christmas greetings via fivetolife, the following data must be processed:

  • Information about the participant (company name/first/last name, street, no., post office box, postcode, city, country, contact person, telephone number, company e-mail/ e-mail, invoicing, language, sender e-mail, recipient e-mail)
  • Information about the participant's customers (first name, surname, e-mail, salutation, gender, greeting formula, language)
  • Contents of the Christmas e-mails
  • Redemption statistics per unique link linked to the customer's email address (when was the redemption page visited? When was which project selected?)
  • Total statistics on the Christmas campaign per year

The participant agrees that personal data may be stored in electronic form.

After completion of the fivetolife Christmas campaign of the respective year, the e-mail addresses of the customers will be anonymized.

The total amount collected by the participants of fivetolife can be used for public communication. Individual amounts generated per participant will not be communicated.

We do not pass on to third parties any information about participants and customers that you must enter on our platform registration form.

IV. Data Security

We use the widespread SSL procedure within the website visit in connection with certificates. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed representation of the key or lock symbol in the address bar of your browser. In addition, we apply other suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
