FAQ
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about our donation platform. We are also pleased to hear from you directly: info@fivetolife.org
Fivetolife is a donation platform that enables companies and private individuals to give a lot of joy with digital Christmas mail including dontion vouchers.
The fivetolife platform saves time: with just a few clicks, the Christmas post is organised - and also serves a good cause, for example sponsoring a baby parcel for a newborn in Mozambique, a stethoscope for medical care in Lebanon or materials for the vegetable farm in Liechtenstein.
The gratitude expressed by the Christmas post becomes a real value through us and can be given to people in need and used to protect nature. In this way, the initiative creates a bridge from many exciting projects to their effectiveness. It's that simple that together we can make the world a better place.
Three projects can be selected on the platform.
The Christmas mail, which is individually designed, contains personal words as well as a digital voucher that the recipient can redeem for one of these three projects.
When selecting a project, vouchers worth CHF|EUR|USD 5, 10, 25 and 50 are available - depending on the donation budget.
The digital mail is either sent directly via the platform to your desired and uploaded addresses. Or you can generate a link via the platform to send with your individual anniversary mail via your own mailing programme.
At the end of the Christmas season or the respective fundraising campaign, the platform totals the redeemed vouchers for each charity project and sends an accurate statement to the participating company.
The collected funds are then passed on 1:1 to the charities that realise the projects on site.
All kinds of organisations and companies that send Christmas greetings to their business contacts, employees or customers can participate - but also private individuals who would like to surprise their friends or family with very special Christmas greetings. The voucher value can be chosen individually and can be CHF|EUR|USD 5, 10 or 25 - depending on the size of the campaign and the donation budget.
fivetolife means "five for living".
Every year, companies send out millions of Christmas cards. On average, a printed Christmas card costs five francs or euros per piece (printing costs, postage, etc.).
Instead of investing the five francs in a printed card, companies can use this money to support charitable (regional and global) projects - and at the same time establish contact with their customers, which is really valuable: they can personally choose which project the company should donate to in their name. Whether it's buying school books, planting trees or financing a baby package - there are many ways to make the world a better place. The whole thing is handled in an uncomplicated way via the fivetolife platform. And donations flow 100% to the fundraising organisations.
The participating company pays for the use of the platform according to the size of the campaign: For a campaign with less than 50 e-mail receipts with voucher link, no costs are incurred. If between 51-100 e-mail receipts are sent, the administration fee is CHF|EUR|USD 75,00 per campaign. If more than 100 e-mail receipts are sent, the costs are CHF|EUR|USD 150,00 per campaign.
Fivetolife guarantees secure handling of all data uploaded to the platform. We are guided by the DSGVO and guarantee that all sensitive participant data is deleted from the platform after the end of a campaign.
Fivetolife was initiated by Christoph Ospelt in 2013: "Every year, companies send out millions of Christmas cards. For this, countless trees are felled, tons of printing ink are consumed and thousands of kilometres are driven in card distribution - and the card often ends up in the rubbish barely noticed. The whole thing, with printing costs and postage, costs the company an estimated five CHF|EUR|USD per card." So he came up with the idea of offering a valuable and sustainable alternative here.
In the meantime, the fivetolife platform has financed, for example, 5200 trips with the e-velo ambulance, 40,000 trees have been planted in Ethiopia, 1,650 sea turtle nests have been saved in Indonesia, 1,220 women's households in the Sidamo region have been provided with vegetable seeds and many, many other building blocks for a better life have been made possible.
A total of 42,000 donation vouchers have already been sent out, thus CHF|EUR|USD 250,000 in donations have been collected and forwarded with over 80 different participating companies and private individuals. A great success for us and many beneficiary projects!
Fivetolife is a platform that brings together an extensive network of fundraising organisations that work tirelessly on a wide range of health, social and environmental projects. Fivetolife was founded by hristoph Ospelt, the managing director of Lenum AG. Tanja Mähr is responsible for project management and Kerstin Kopf supports the team in communications. Anja Bärtsch and Sybille Eberle manage perfect accounting. The complex platform and our internet presence are set up by ViitorCloud Technologies and Roman Beck. We are a committed team that is passionate about a good cause.
Fivetolife is a non-profit project and guarantees that 100% of the donations generated by campaigns are forwarded to the organisations in charge of the projects.
Participating companies only pay a small administration fee for using the platform if they send more than 50 mails. This administration fee covers only a fraction of fivetolife's costs. Fivetolife in turn covers its costs through foundations that make this valuable platform possible.
With our many committed partners, we can directly and effectively support social and environmental projects in the region and around the world. Thanks to our great network, we can make a real difference. Would you like to be part of this with your fundraising organisation? Then contact us at info@fivetolife.org and we will be happy to explore the possibility together.
A few customer reviews...
Beat Frick from Allmedia AG: "The implementation is very simple and uncomplicated and not only we, but also the customers enjoy being able to make a small social contribution in this way."
Wolfgang Mähr from Mähr Möbeldesign: "At the end of the year, we would like to thank our customers - for the good cooperation and the trust in our sustainable value creation. With the digital Christmas post from fivetolife, we stay in touch and can use it to shine the spotlight on those areas that need help and support. A nice way to set an example and use the resources we have in an ecologically and economically sensible way."
Annette Rust from Bachema AG "Sending Christmas greetings by e-mail with the option of making a donation at the expense of the sender is just great: as a company, it is a real need for us to thank our customers at the end of the year for the good cooperation. To invest this money better than for temporarily unpopular cards and gifts, we donate it to organisations that can do good with it: be it to support the preservation of our environment or people who need help."
With the attached link you can see an example of how recipients receive your greeting message with a donation voucher: https://www.fivetolife.org/tour.
This is an example of how your digital Christmas cards can look like, when sent directly through the platform. If you decide to send the link to the donation voucher via your own e-mail programme or a messenger, you have even more creative freedom for your Jubilee message.
